The Living Word Church, a place where men and women can worship God in spirit and in truth, was founded by Bishop Maurice J. Grace. Many obstacles had to be overcome to realize the vision and to follow the leadership of the Lord. 
     Bishop Maurice J. Grace received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1983 and was called to preach soon after. He began pastoring in 1988. In 1994, he was inspired by God to begin a ministry in the city of Montgomery, AL. Not having a building to worship in, he began preaching in his home with no members other than his wife and two children.
